Marvel's Spider-Man is a action-adventure Match published based on the Marvel Comics superhero Spider-Man and developed by Insomniac Games.
Released on September 7, 2018, it's the first game. The game covers both Peter Parker and Spider-Man facets of the character, and tells a story about Spider-Man which is not tied to an present comic book, video game, or movie.
Spider-Man was received upon release. Critics called it one of the greatest superhero games made, praising particularly the battle, its gameplay and web-swinging mechanics, graphics, storyline, characterization, and design of new york, though believed it lacked innovation in its open-world design. The game became a commercial success, selling 3.3 million copies in its first 3 days of release, and broke several sales documents.
Spider-Man features a huge ensemble cast of characters from Spider-Man comics' background. Peter Parker (voiced by Yuri Lowenthal) is a 23-year old research assistant, who profits superhuman abilities after being bitten by a genetically-modified spider. Parker uses these skills to look after the citizens of New York City as the superhero Spider-Man. Eight years in his superhero career, Parker has become an masterful and experienced crime fighter, but struggles to balance his superhero and individual lives. He's assisted in his fight with intrepid Daily Bugle reporter Mary Jane Watson (Laura Bailey), his ex-girlfriend, and NYPD Captain Yuri Watanabe (Tara Platt). In Spiderman his civilian life, Parker is encouraged by his Aunt May (Nancy Linari) who volunteers at the F.E.A.S.T. homeless shelter run by philanthropist Martin Li (Stephen Oyoung). Parker is employed by his mentor and friend, the honored scientist Dr. Otto Octavius (William Salyers). Spider-Man's adventure brings him into contact with different characters, including Miles Morales (Nadji Jeter) along with his parents, NYPD Officer Jefferson Davis (Russell Richardson) and Rio Morales (Jacqueline Pinol), OsCorp CEO along with New York mayor Norman Osborn (Mark Rolston), and Silver Sablinova (Nichole Elise), chief of the private military company Sable International.
Spider-Man's mission to protect the city brings him into conflict with several supervillains. Fisk is sent to prison, but cautions that he had been the only person maintaining order in town. Fisk's lack gives rise to a supernaturally powered, demonic-mask wearing gang called the Demons who start dividing town for the powerful Mr. Negative, who will corrupt individuals through his touch.
A lot of different characters--such as Parker's and Watson's childhood friend Harry Osborn (Scott Porter), who has disappeared on a long European holiday, and anti-Spider-Man podcast bunch J. Jonah Jameson (Darin p Paul) have voice roles in the main game. The game features several references to the Marvel Comics universe, such as the Wakandan Embassy, Avengers Tower, the Sanctum Sanctorum, Murdock & Nelson Attorneys at Law, Rand Corporation, and Alias Investigations.  Spider-Man co-creator Stan Lee cameos as a short-order cook. The match's downloadable content features appearances by master-thief Black Cat (Erica Lindbeck) (who has a voice-only function in the primary game), and Hammerhead (Keith Silverstein), leader of the Maggia crime family.
